- Avoid letting the battery fully drain
- Limit battery exposure to extreme heat or cold

- Charge the battery fully (16 hours) once a month, even during the off seasons or when not in use.
- If you do not charge the battery for six months, it may not hold a charge.
How to troubleshoot your battery
The best way to test the battery is with a Voltmeter. A fully charged battery must be putting out a minimum of 5.6 Volts, anything less means the battery is no longer functioning properly. **If you don't have a voltmeter, you may take it to a hardware store & they can test it for you.
Otherwise another way to check is if the indicator light on the charger is staying green or red then the battery is not good.
