Rechargeable Battery Care

How to get the longest life out of your Bernini Fountain Battery
Rechargeable batteries are like automobiles batteries. As with your car battery, how you use this battery has a significant impact on its lifespan.  For example, if you forget to turn off your car's lights, the battery will drain. Jump starting your car may work a few times but, after a few full discharges even a jump won't help, and the battery will need to be replaced.  With proper use and treatment, a battery can last for years.  Here are some recommendations for getting the longest life from the internal battery:
Tips for using your battery
Upon receiving battery, fully charge for 16 hours.
Charge battery after 30-40 hours of use
Avoid letting the battery fully drain
Limit battery exposure to extreme heat or cold
    Tips for storing your battery
Avoid storing in high temperatures and moist places.
Charge the battery fully (16 hours) once a month, even during the off seasons or when not in use.
If you do not charge the battery for six months, it may not hold a charge.
      Important:
Do not charge on counter tops, carpets or other finished surfaces. It is recommended that the battery be placed on a concrete or safe surface for charging. The design of our batteries includes a hard-plastic shell that eliminates the intake of moisture, thus making a concrete floor a good place to charge your battery.
